The Truth About Clairvoyant Abilities
Posted on | October 4, 2009 | No Comments
Psychics, psychic abilities, mediums, clairvoyants, seers, second sight, extrasensory perception, reading minds, and seeing the future are paranormal activities that drive either belief or disbelief.
When people think of clairvoyant readings, it conjures up scenes of weirdos seated at a round table lit by dripping candles at midnight, holding hands, eyes closed, chanting some secret phrase to call the dead. There are different schools of thought about the psychic realm overall: some believe in it, some do not believe in it, and some wonder if it could be true.
With the mainstream show “Medium”, based on the real life of clairvoyant Allison Dubois, the idea that clairvoyant readings and psychic abilities could be real was introduced.
What Does A Clairvoyant Do?
Clairvoyant readings are sessions with a medium, someone with clairvoyant abilities, abilities to things not perceived by the normal senses.
During a clairvoyant reading, the medium meets with the client and attempts to “read” different aspects of the client’s life and experience, such as their aura, vibrations, past or future experience, or other tarot cards or rune stones, which are ancient intuitive tools.
The clairvoyant may give information and advice about what the client should do, or may try to help the client contact deceased relatives or acquaintances.
Can A Psychic Really Help?
Psychic advice can complement a client’s everyday decision-making processes but shouldn’t take the place of common sense or responsibility.
Some people are scared of contact with psychics and some people place to much confidence in them to solve their problems or make their decisions.
An open mind, intelligent consideration, and reasoned interaction are a more balanced approach to paranormal and psychic experiences.
Clairvoyance: Science Or Showmanship?
Although many people believe in psychics and psychic experiences, and claim to having had psychic experiences or to be psychic, real psychic experiences are difficult to prove and reproduce in clinical settings.
While famous psychics like Sylvia Browne, Danielle Agnew, and John Edward have huge audiences, they are criticized by the scientific community for showmanship, inaccuracy, inflating television performances through editing, and fraud.
Psychic Abilities: You Decide
Many psychics charge money for their services and capitalize on their clients’ belief in them.
On the internet there are many offers for free psychic readings and multitudes of psychic services. There is a lot of controversy about psychic ability and ethics, and a lot of debate about the real psychic source of mediums and clairvoyants and psychics.
But the reality of supernatural and spiritual experiences is very personal and something that individuals have to decide for themselves.
