In Part One and Part Two of this series, I discussed several common mistakes that you might make that will certainly sabotage your conscious creation efforts. Today, I will wrap up this series with the last of these mistakes. Hopefully, by understanding the common pitfalls and traps that can derail your efforts to manifest a better life, you can avoid or minimize them
The Law of Attraction Will Manifest Your Fears
It is not unusual to fear achieving that wish you are attempting to consciously create.
Fear of success or fear of intimacy are just as deadly to your efforts at conscious creation as a fear of failure. If you fail to address these fears, you will sabotage your efforts because it makes you uncomfortable.
You are attempting to manifest something while you are also pushing it away.
How do you eliminate these fears? Well, like most everything else discussed here, you write them down. The act of putting those fears on paper often exposes them as silly nd irrational. Even if the fear is well founded, you can reason your way through the fear and arrive at a solution.
The Law Of Attraction Requires Thought First An Action Last
In the law of attraction, there is no such thing as “trying.” The operative word here is “letting.”
In fact, my experience with the law of attraction has been that my success has been inversely proportional to my physical efforts.
You cannot work harder when using the law of attraction, you must work smarter. The harder you “try” the worse the predicament will get. You cannot “make” the law of attraction work. You must “let” the Universe do its job for you.
Release and relax
It will happen when it happens. If you can be relaxed and maintain a positive mental attitude, the law of attraction will do the heavy lifting.
When You Are Frustrated, The Universe Will Send You More Frustration
Frustration acts as a magnet to the Universe to deliver more frustration to you. You have to remember to maintain a positive mental attitude. When you feel frustrated, it is time to stop, step back and do something that will restore your sense of well being.
Do something that makes you feel good!!!
You will then shift your vibration to attract situations and experiences that will help you to feel good. I know that it can be challenging to be Miss Mary Sunshine when it seems as if your world is crashing around you. But, this is not optional. Your emotions have a cause-effect relationship with the Universe.
When you begin to feel the first twinge of frustration, you must stop and walk away. Remember that you can control your emotions or let your emotions control you.
You have the ability to change your mood by the use of visualization, meditation, music, laughter, or anything else that makes you feel good.
Eliminate frustration at the first sign of it and you will reap dividends later. Your efforts at conscious creation will be much more effective.
The Law Of Attraction Requires Patience
When you are drowning in a sea of crappiness, you want a change NOW. I understand your feelings of desperation to take action now to effect a positive change. However, it takes time, even for the Universe. Furthermore, your expression of impatience reflects, on some level, a lack of belief.
In addition, it is important to remember that there is a built in delay between your thoughts and their manifestation as reality. Believe me, you want this delay most of the time. Otherwise, you would immediately reap the fruit of every negative thought instantaneously. That delay does not go away because you want the Universe to “hurry up.”
I can attest that, often, you will feel like you are walking through molasses. You are not doomed to fail, you are not doing anything wrong. The Universe has to set the stage, move people and things into place. This delay during your period of transition is completely normal.
Maintain your positive mental attitude. Engage in the exercises that I have outlined for you above.
Give yourself some slack.
Over time, you will begin to see small synchronicities appear in your life as the Universe moves everything into place. Look for these and smile to yourself when you see them. It is happening.
Conclusion: The Law Of Attraction Requires That You “Let It Be”
The Beatles recorded a song entitled Let it be.
I told Elliot that this needs to become his theme song.
I have used the law of attraction to manifest great change in my life. However, the change came in small increments as I developed the capacity to believe in greater and greater change. In every case, the solution to my problems did not come to me in the manner or means that I expected.
I had to let go and let it be.
This has taught me to set my goal, paint a picture of the end result and quit trying to figure out how it is going to happen.
So, in closing, I leave you with some profound advice from the Beatles:
