This is Part Two of a five part series entitled   The Secret Law Of Attraction:  A Complete Guide To Manifesting Abundance.

In Part One, I led you through a series of exercises to develop the elements needed to put together your conscious creation program.  Using these resources, we are going to create a series of tools and aids to assist you in manifesting your goals according to your life purpose.  As a recap, you should have created:

  1. Concise statement of life purpose
  2. List of 15 to 20 positive affirmations
  3. Several paragraphs, each of which should paint a word picture of you living one of you chosen goals.

Now, we are ready to create the first of our law of attraction tools, an inspiring gratitude journal.

The Law Of Attraction Gratitude Journal

I must admit that this is my favorite law of attraction tool.

I like it better than a vision board (which I discuss below) for the following reasons:

  1. It is portable. I can take it with me anywhere.
  2. It is multifunctional. I can do gratitude exercises, write and read my affirmations, write and read my visualization paragraphs, paste and review inspiring pictures, symbols and words.
  3. It provides a record of my success. As I achieve my conscious creation goals, the journal is a reminder of my personal development and personal growth.  I can see that manifesting abundance actually works.
  4. It is private. I can close it up and put it away.  I can share it with everyone or I can share it with no one.  This is useful if I find myself in an environment with people who like to “rain on my parade.”

This journal can be a simple as spiral notebook or an ornate leather  journal with hand crafted paper.  Mine is gthe latter and I purchased it off of Ebay.

Setting Up Your Gratitude Journal

I am going to share with you how I initially set up my journal on one condition.

Here it is:

I want you to understand that there is not a “right way” to set up your gratitude journal.  I want you to set up your journal differently than mine.  I want it to be YOUR journal, not a cookie cutter copy of mine.  Okay?

In fact, I would argue that it is better for your journal to be less organized and more random.  Your time will be better spent focusing on your goals and the positive emotions associated with them rather than trying to organize your journal “just right.”  Excessive organizing is a form of self sabotage.  Don’t do it.

I initially set up my journal life this:

Inside the front cover I pasted a copy of my statement of life purpose

Then I created a written, daily action plan of action that includes a time for: gratitude, affirmations, visualization, meditation, prayer.  This is to remind me of what I want to accomplish each day.  Note, that I do not follow this plan EVERY day.  Using your journal should be fun and exciting.  It should not feel like work.

Now, throughout the journal, I have pasted or written random statements from well known law of attraction authors (such as Wallace Wattles) as well as verses Bible verses.  This is to remind me how and why the law of attraction works.

I have a section for each of my goals.  Each section includes the positive affirmation associated with my goal, the paragraph (or word picture) for the goal as well as several pictures or symbols to assist me in positively visualizing the goal.

Again, I would like to remind you that your journal is not to be sequential or organized.  If you set up your journal and want to add something new, you can put it anywhere in the journal, or even start a new page.

The process of creating your journal should be fun and playful.  If it becomes a chore, you need to immediately stop and go do something else.

How I Use My Gratitude Journal

Here is how I use my journal.

Each morning, I get up and work slowly and casually through the journal as if I were perusing a magazine.

I do not “concentrate.”

I simply read, see and enjoy what I have created and savor the positive emotions I feel from looking and reading that which makes me happy.  The attitude I try to cultivate is:

“Wow, all of this is coming my way.  I can’t wait.  Look, here’s my airplane.  Man, I can’t wait to fly it.”

Then I add anything else that comes to my mind.  Sometimes, I add nothing at all.

After I go through my journal, I usually feel really good.  I then go to the last blank page of the journal and write 1-5 things for which I am grateful.

Author’s Note: The reason I write in the back is to keep my gratitude list separate and in one place .  Over time, I will work my way from front to back (with my goals, affirmations, etc) while working my way from back to front with my gratitude list.  When the journal is full, I start a new journal.

I then review the other statements of gratitude that I have written in the past.

The Gratitude Journal:  An Important Tool For Effectively Using The Universal Law Of Attraction

The law of attraction gratitude journal is an effective and portable way to incorporate your life purpose, goals and gratitude statements in one place.  You can take it with you anywhere and refer to it whenever you want.  Your gratitude journal should be your own special creation.  Reading it should invoke happiness and feelings of positive expectation.  Do not allow working in your journal to be “work.”  It should be a fun, creative treat you allow yourself each day.

In Part Three of this series, I will teach you a simple, inexpensive, portable and fun way to practice your daily affirmations.  Affirmations are a key tool in using the universal law of attraction to manifest abundance in your life.
