Leading a fulfilling life is a matter of knowing how to build your life in a way that gives you inner power. To do this, you have to have a clear sense of your life purpose.
The Key To Finding Your Life Purpose: Strengths, Talents And Passions
To get a clear sense on your life purpose, you have to evaluate and exploit your talents, strengths and passions. It is this introspection and knowledge of your inner self that empowers you to live a purpose filled life. But you cannot use these gifts to live your life purpose unless you know them and can use them.
Along with your strengths and talents, it is important to learn your passions as well. This leads to the ultimate formula for finding and articulating your life purpose:
- Apply your strengths and talents
- To an area in which you have passion and
- That helps others better their lives.
For instance, I have a strong financial background and I, as a lawyer, I am a good public speaker. I love to teach others and help them better their lives. As a result, my life purpose could be to teach others how to better manage their finances and, therefore, have a better life.

Look at the following questions and use them to evaluate yourself. In all cases, be very descriptive:
- How do I most often serve others, if at all?
- What do I like to do?
- What do others think I do best?
- What do others most often comment on about me?
- What do my finds say are my greatest strengths? My biggest weaknesses?
- What inspires me?
Now, give the list to a trusted friend and have him prepare a separate set of answers. Show him your answers and ask him to evaluate them.
Find Your Life Purpose And Live Your Best Life Now
If you feel as if you are meandering aimlessly without a life purpose, it could be that you are involved in an area that (1) does not exploit your strengths and talents and/or (2) is not an area in which you have a passion and/or (3) does not help or benefit others.
Living your best life takes energy. Applying your strengths and talents to an area of passion will give you the energy and perseverance to live the best life you can create, even in times of difficulty and hardship.
